Seasonal Food For August

Cheeses - Farmhouse Cheddar, goats milk cheeses.

Fish - Dover sole, grey mullet, haddock, halibut, herring, John Dory, lemon sole, mackeral, pilchards, plaice, red mullet, sardines, sea bass, trout, wild salmon.

Fruit - Apples, apricots, blackberries, blackcurrants, blueberries, boysenberries, cherries, damsons, figs, gooseberries, greengages, Japanese wineberries, loganberries, melons, mirabelles, nectarines, peaches, pears, plums, raspberries, redcurrants, scottish raspberries, scottish strawberries, sloes, sunberries, tayberries, tomatoes, tummelberries, watermelons, wild strawberries.

Game - Grouse, hare, rabbit, woodpigeon

Herbs - Basil, fennel, rocket.

Meat - Lamb

Nuts - Cobnuts
